अभी तो कटे तेरे सिर्फ पाँच जवान ,
बढ़ने दे इसकी शहादत को अभी और ,
ताकि रच सके इतिहास में एक और बयान ।
क्यूँ रोता है हिन्दुस्तान ?
अभी तो बरस आज़ादी के होने दे कुछ और जवान ,
गर इस तरह से ही चलेगाये देश ,
तो बन जाएगा देख तू फिर से गुलाम ।
क्यूँ रोता है हिन्दुस्तान ?
वो बँटवारा नहीं वो था ऐसा तूफ़ान ,
जो जब-जब चलेगा नफरत की आँधी लिए ,
तब-तब मिटेंगे यहाँ से रहीम और राम ।
क्यूँ रोता है हिन्दुस्तान ?
अभी नेतायों ने पहना ही कहाँ वो कफ़न तमाम,
जिसमे लिपटी थीं आहें उन बेवायों की ,
जिनके अपने शहीद हुए थे सीना तान ।
क्यूँ रोता है हिन्दुस्तान ?
अभी यहीं पर पढ़नी है फिर से “गीता” और “कुरान” ,
जब कुदरत कहेगी चल मेरे साथ चला चल ,
तब घबराएगा फिर से ये पापी इंसान ।
क्यूँ रोता है हिन्दुस्तान ?
कुछ तो सन्देश दे अपने देशवासियों के नाम ,
कह दे कि या तो मेरी लाज बचा लो ,
या फिर लुटने दो मेरी अस्मत तमाम ।

तुझे बचाने वाले अब बन गए हैं भक्षक खुले~ए~आम ,
वोटों के लालच में देखो …….
दुश्मन की करें चाकरी …..देकर उन्हें जीवन-दान ।
क्यूँ रोता है हिन्दुस्तान ?
अभी भी लाखों देशभक्त करते हैं तेरा सम्मान ,
तुझे बचाने खड़े हैं अब हम सब ,
बजा बिगुल करके जंग का एलान ।

मर्दों पर होता नहीं तुझे यकीन अब …..ऐसा जान ,
मैं हैरान होती हूँ जब-जब ये सोच ,
तब-तब बना लेती हूँ एक “नारी सेना” …..लिख कर नए नाम ।
क्यूँ रोता है हिन्दुस्तान ?
तेरे शहीदों का बदला लेगी अब ये “नारी सेना ” बनाम ,
मर्दानगी अब मर्दों की क्योंकि जाती जा रही है ,
इसलिए अब सीमा में घुस कर मारेगी ये सेना …..उनके भी जवान ।
क्यूँ रोता है हिन्दुस्तान ?
देख हम सब मिलकर कर रहे हैं ……अब जंग का एलान ,
जिस मुल्क में पहले ही सब ख़तम हो चुका हो,
आ उसके षड्यंत्रों को भी अब करें नाकाम ।

नफरत है मुझे इस “पाक”शब्द से …..ये तू जान ,
पहले रेतेंगे हम उस “शब्द” को बेदर्दी से,
